Star Lantern Shawl

The Story:

The Star Lantern Shawl gets its name from the Light Festival (Boun Heua Fai). The festival is celebrated with a candlelight procession, the release of handmade bamboo boats into the Mekong River and colourful star lanterns decorate the entire town of Luang Prabang. The scarf is woven using a multicoloured rayon warp and one colour of silk. Combining silk and rayon gives the scarf a soft draping effect. It’s a great casual addition to your wardrobe.
