Description

The Rainbow Silk Scarf boasts two types of silk: Eri and Bombyx mori. Ultra soft and smooth Bombyx mori is the foundation for the warp, while the textured Eri fibres make up the ‘stripes’. Gandhi referred to Eri silk as the “peace silk”, or ahimsa “no harm”, silk. The silk cocoon is used after the butterfly emerges. Eri silk is sometimes referred to as “vegan silk”.
