Description

Ock Pop Tok means “east meets west” and the design and making of this collection of bags reflects our “heritage meets innovation” ethos. The leaf (Palm Tree) and diamond pattern are traditional motifs typically made using multiple colors.

Our contemporary monochrome version – inspired from traditional Tai Lue blankets – is achieved by blending thin cotton for the base weave with contrasting handspun cotton thread for the leaf motif.

The leaves are an ode to the abundant tropical palms and banana trees that shade the Lao countryside, while the diamond motifs reflect wisdom and insight.

Woven by master weavers in our Living Crafts Centre, this collection includes a shoulder bag, a cosmetic bag, a laptop bag, a weekender bag, a clutch and a handbag. Have a look at the collection here.
