Description

The highly-detailed motifs look like embroidery, but when you see our master weavers at our studio on the Mekong, it becomes clear: Laos master weavers are extremely skilled! Interestingly, the pattern on this table runner was inspired by Mien Yao embroidery, although it is woven using the kit or supplementary weft technique.

This cross-cultural collaboration and exchange is a creative outlet for the artisans! Woven from all natural silk, dyed with all natural dyes. Handwoven at the Living Crafts Centre.
