Description

The Kriang Cotton Placemats are woven by Kriang artisans on backstrap looms. The patterns represent animal and nature motifs that symbolise the Kriang’s animist beliefs.

The earthy colours reflect the Kriang’s natural colour palette, which is mostly natural cotton, beige or browns. Due to their handmade features, colour and motifs of each placemat are unique. A collaboration through our Village Weavers Project.
