Description

The Katu Zen Tote Bag is just that, a tranquil, simple yet entirely masterful demonstration of the Katu’s backstrap weaving skills. Woven with naturally-dyed cotton, available in a range of colourways, these bags feature linear patterns that are inspired by traditional Katu motifs, such as rows of young rice plant and fences.

Slim, subtle and sturdy, the Katu Zen Tote Bags can be used as a handbag, a school bag or for farmer’s market outings. Based in southern Laos, the Katu are accomplished backstrap weavers and longtime partners in our Village Weavers Project.
