Description

Ock Pop Tok’s rug collection has been popular since we first unveiled it a few years back! We’ve kept the motifs and colors simple, making it easy to fit into any decor. The weft threads are made of up to 6-8 ply threads, making this collection extremely durable and sturdy but still soft. Handwoven with 100% handspun and naturally grown cotton through our Village Weavers Project.

This rug is woven using the tapestry weaving technique where the weaver works without the aid of a pattern on the loom! The motif is inspired by similar patterns seen on Lao sinhs, although on a smaller scale.

Our master weavers have taken this traditional design and woven it in much larger proportion creating this striking bold design. Working from their home village, the weavers are able to balance their domestic and child care routines, while still working and earning an income.

  • Material: 100% cotton
  • Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water, use mild soap
