Description

Phou Tai communities in southern Laos are skilled cotton farmers and master ikat weavers. Using traditional wrapping techniques and natural indigo, they create motifs resembling temples and nagas, among others.

This type of fabric is traditionally used by women who wear them as sinh, or skirt.
