Description

Lao silk is known for its iridescence, reflecting light in a way that is almost ethereal, and the complex diamond pattern shows it off! The scarf is woven using a loom with four foot pedals, which allows the weaver to “lift” warp threads in increments, thereby creating a diamond or Jacquard pattern.

Made with medium weight silk that feel comfortable and cool in the summer and cosy and warm in the winter. Handwoven by master weavers at the Living Crafts Centre.
