Description

This delicate, yet super sturdy, tote bag is the result of our collaboration with Katu communities in southern Laos.

The beaded tote bag features hemp, naturally-dyed cotton yarn and classic white beads. Skilled backstrap weavers, Katu women thread beads directly onto the weft thread, so you can be sure the beads won’t fall off!

The Katu use natural dyes almost exclusively, and the soft natural colours evoke the rustic wooden houses, green paddies and straw-coloured hills surrounding Katu villages.

Due to their handmade features, colour and motifs vary greatly with this piece. Please put the note if you have your preference colour.
