Akha Mujee communities in northern Laos’ Phongsaly Province decorate their clothing with beads and embroidery.

These artisans have adapted their traditional skills to create playful, contemporary necklaces made with coloured beads and cotton embroidered with flower motifs.

The strands are a reference to the traditional hat of the Akha ladies, which features multiple hanging beaded strands. Due to the handmade nature of this product, it is only available in multi-colour fabrics. Please add comments at checkout if you have a preference for the color. We can offer: White or Black
