Single-use plastic is a critical issue, not only in Laos but across the world. Doing away with single-use plastic means finding good alternatives and promoting behaviour changes. In Laos, bamboo grow prolifically, and it is used for a number of things.

Using bamboo straws as a plastic-free, ecological alternative is sensible and sustainable, plus it creates an income opportunity for our artisan partners. Sustainably harvested, cleaned and hand-sanded to ensure smoothness, these straws are good-looking and easy to use. Wash them in cool soapy water for repeated use.
